[mikee414]

Michelle Obama’s vegetable garden is about to become a culinary battlefield.

The Food Network announced Wednesday that an episode of “Iron Chef America” will be taped at the White House featuring Mario Batali, Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse. The three chefs, joined by White House chef Cristeta Comerford, will be welcomed by the first lady and allowed to use anything found in the garden to help create their meals.

The competition will then move back to the network’s Kitchen Stadium in New York, where Flay and Comerford will face-off against Batali and Lagasse to produce five dishes showcasing the ingredients.

The judges will include chef Nigella Lawson, Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin, and actress Jane Seymour.

The episode airs Jan. 3, 2010.

The Real Story Behind James Franco's Soap Opera Career Move [12 Nov 2009|04:50pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[catercousin]
When General Hospital announced that James Franco would be joining the soap opera for a lengthy story arc, pop culture pundits couldn’t fathom the movie star’s motivation. Over here at Movieline, though, we sensed the guiding hand of Carter, Franco’s frequent artistic collaborator. The two men have embarked on a wide variety of art projects that play with and deconstruct Franco’s image, including a VMan photo shoot that handed the actor a flamethrower and covered his face in shaving cream, and Erased James Franco, a 63-minute film (playing November 15 at the Castro Theater in San Francisco) that finds Franco idiosyncratically recreating Rock Hudson from Seconds and Julianne Moore from Safe, as well as some of his own lesser roles.

Crazy Lady vs. Chris Brown

As Chris Brown left Footaction last night in Times Square, he caught an earful from “some drunk woman”. Perhaps he should’ve brought her back to the crib. On second thought, maybe not.

Wynonna Retracts her Taylor Swift Diss [12 Nov 2009|05:45pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[bitchybot]

Per her official website:

"I understand that my comment about Taylor Swift’s Entertainer of the Year nomination came across as a negative statement. My intent was not to take anything away from her talent and contributions to the country music industry...all of which are truly unprecedented for an artist of ANY age. Taylor is a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had and I support her as an artist and as a woman in the business. "

Source: http://www.wynonna.com/index.php?&content=message_board&com=board&brd=topic_227391

Btw for those who missed it, this is what Wynonna said:

"You want my honest comment? It’s too much too soon. Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once. It’s just too much of a good thing too soon. My thing is, being a home-school mom, I want kids to earn it, and I think some time … ’cause mom and I rode in a car for the first year of our career to visit radio stations. There was a making of the star, there was a rising up, and the fans went with us. Now it’s over coffee breaks, the success, almost. You have to play catch up … It's like the girl who wins an Oscar and she's under 20. What do you do from here?"

I'm not sure if this is considered post-worthy or not, so I'll leave that up to the mods to decide. Basically I met AFI last night, but we weren't allowed to take pictures, so no ONTD sign. I was able to get a shaky video of Hunter acknowledging ONTD's exsistence. He didn't quite know what I was talking about when I said "ONTD" but he got it when I said "Oh No They Didn't".

My voice sounds weird...I'm really shy and quiet and was trying hard to not be, and ended up talking obnoxiously.

Adam Brody: My singing was rejected [13 Nov 2009|04:54am]

Adam Brody has revealed his singing was "politely declined" by the makers of Jennifer's Body.
The OC actor plays a rocker in Diablo Cody's latest film, which also stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried.
Asked if he sang for the part, he said: "I would have liked it to be me but I didn't have the pipes."
He admitted that he had been in discussions with producers to sing but that they turned him down.
"I said 'I can't really sing' and they were like 'just do it, just do it, you'll be fine...' and then they gave me a singing lesson anyway and I said 'what do you guys think?' and they were like 'hmmm, hmmm excellent, good note, we'll get back to you' and they never talked to me about it again and that was that. They politely declined my voice," he said.

Earlier today, JustJared.com confirmed that the 29-year-old actor will be co-starring alongside Glee hottie Dianna Agron in The Romantics.
Dianna just tweeted, “Isn’t it Romantic… a blissfully cold day out here in Long Island.”

Another HBP DVD feature clip released. [12 Nov 2009|03:27pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[dropofmoon117]
Likely to be seen on the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD (or possibly during the ABC Family special), a new featurette for the sixth film titled "The Pitfalls of Teenage Love" has been released on iTunes.

The 3 minute, 52 second video includes many interviews with various cast members about the relationships in Half-Blood Prince. Lots of new behind-the-scenes footage can also be seen.

Wow, the acting in this film sucked. Everything is just painfully awkward. Especially the Dan/Bonnie chemistry. I like Yates telling her the most important thing is just to ~connect~ with Dan.
